were created into picture scrolls using traditional Japanese wood-block printing techniques.

Kojiro Kosugi

1944 Born in Tokyo. 1965 Graduated from the Industrial Design Department of Nihon University. 1970 Followed Kazumasa Nakagawa and went over to France. And entered the laboratory of Grande Chaumiere. 1975 Accepted for 18th Yasui Prize Exhibition. 1981 Received the Prize for Fine Work at exhibition of grand prize in oil paintings of Tokyo Central Museum. Received the Flamand Prize at exhibition of Salon de National Beaux-Arts. 1987 Drew the illustrations of serial novel on Asahi Shimbun (Newspaper). 2000 Drew the illustrations of serial novel on Nikkei Shimbun (Newspaper). 2001 Exhibition "Plane-Solid" at Takashimaya Department Store. Exhibition "Original Pictures of the Illustrations of Noboru Tsujihara's Serial Novel" at Takashimaya Department Store, supported by Nikkei Shimbun. 2002 Exhibition "The Great Masters of 21st Century" at Mitsukoshi Department Store in Nihonbashi, Tokyo. ('05) 2003 Solo exhibition at Matsuzakaya Department Store in Ueno, Tokyo. 2005 Published "The Collection of Kosugi Kojiro's Works" from Nikkei Publishing Inc.. Solo exhibition "Paris Time Follows Quietly" in Tokyo, Nagoya and Kyoto. 2006 Received the 29th Seiji Togo Memorial Sompo Japan Museum Prize by his work "Tsuki-Tsuioku (Moon-Reminiscence)". 2007 Special exhibition "Kojiro Kosugi - Tales of Bible" at Tobi. Solo exhibition at Kintetsu Department Store. 2008 Solo museum exhibition at Seiji Togo Memorial Sompo Japan Museum of Art.
